El intendente de esta ciudad, Dr. Jos\u00e9 Augusto Suaid, inform\u00f3 mediante un comunicado divulgado en las redes sociales sobre la Resoluci\u00f3n N.\u00ba 3005\/2025 mediante la cual convoca a elecciones municipales en coincidencia con los comicios provinciales establecidos por el Decreto Provincial N.\u00ba 1056\/2025. La jornada electoral se realizar\u00e1 el domingo 31 de agosto de 2025 en todo el territorio de la provincia de Corrientes.<\/p>\n<p>En la ciudad de Santo Tom\u00e9 se elegir\u00e1n Intendente, Viceintendente, seis (6) concejales titulares y cuatro (4) suplentes, conforme a lo dispuesto por el C\u00f3digo Electoral de la Provincia (Decreto Ley N.\u00ba 135\/2001). Las autoridades electas iniciar\u00e1n sus mandatos el 10 de diciembre de 2025, fecha en que culminan los cargos actualmente en funciones, electos en 2021.<\/p>\n<p>La resoluci\u00f3n municipal se fundamenta en el art\u00edculo 198 de la Carta Org\u00e1nica Municipal, que habilita al Ejecutivo local a convocar elecciones comunales, as\u00ed como en el art\u00edculo 225 de la Constituci\u00f3n de la Provincia, que prev\u00e9 la coordinaci\u00f3n entre comicios locales y provinciales.<\/p>\n<p>El acto administrativo tambi\u00e9n dispone que los comicios se regir\u00e1n por la normativa vigente de la Constituci\u00f3n provincial y el C\u00f3digo Electoral, incluyendo sus leyes modificatorias y complementarias. Adem\u00e1s, se enviar\u00e1 copia de la resoluci\u00f3n a la Junta Electoral Provincial y al Honorable Concejo Deliberante de Santo Tom\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>De esta manera, la ciudad se encamina hacia un proceso electoral clave, en el que se renovar\u00e1n las principales autoridades del gobierno local.
