En el Hospital San Juan Bautista de esta ciudad, bajo la coordinaci\u00f3n de la Secretar\u00eda Regional de Ciencia y Tecnolog\u00eda, se incorporaron los primeros pacientes a un importante proyecto de investigaci\u00f3n de la carrera de Medicina que busca nuevas formas de predecir el da\u00f1o hep\u00e1tico sin usar m\u00e9todos invasivos.<\/p>\n<p>Este estudio, dirigido por el Dr. Barreyro Investigador Conicet-UNaM y la Dra. Sosa, ambos docentes investigadores de la carrera de Medicina cuenta tambi\u00e9n con la participaci\u00f3n de la Dra. Yanina Nuss \u2014graduada de la Fundaci\u00f3n Barcel\u00f3, m\u00e9dica residente de cl\u00ednica m\u00e9dica y becaria de perfeccionamiento del proyecto\u2014, adem\u00e1s de dos estudiantes que actualmente cursan 5to a\u00f1o de la carrera.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-12086\" src=\"https:\/\/digitalsantotome.com.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Imagen-de-WhatsApp-2025-08-09-a-las-10.35.42_1798b4fc.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1528\" height=\"1033\" srcset=\"https:\/\/digitalsantotome.com.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Imagen-de-WhatsApp-2025-08-09-a-las-10.35.42_1798b4fc.jpg 1528w, https:\/\/digitalsantotome.com.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Imagen-de-WhatsApp-2025-08-09-a-las-10.35.42_1798b4fc-300x203.jpg 300w, https:\/\/digitalsantotome.com.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Imagen-de-WhatsApp-2025-08-09-a-las-10.35.42_1798b4fc-1024x692.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/digitalsantotome.com.ar\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/Imagen-de-WhatsApp-2025-08-09-a-las-10.35.42_1798b4fc-768x519.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1528px) 100vw, 1528px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Como parte del proceso, a los pacientes se les realiz\u00f3 un estudio llamado elastograf\u00eda hep\u00e1tica, que permite medir la rigidez del h\u00edgado. Tambi\u00e9n se les realiz\u00f3 la extracci\u00f3n de una muestra de sangre que fue enviada al laboratorio de investigaci\u00f3n de la facultad. Este procedimiento marc\u00f3 un hecho trascendental: <strong>por primera vez se llev\u00f3 a cabo una extracci\u00f3n de ADN en la sede<\/strong>, consolidando un paso importante en el fortalecimiento de las capacidades locales de los laboratorios.<\/p>\n<p>Este procedimiento estuvo a cargo del <strong>Lic. Facundo Maiorana<\/strong>, becario doctoral Barcel\u00f3-CONICET. <strong>El ADN extra\u00eddo se analizar\u00e1 en colaboraci\u00f3n con el Instituto de Biotecnolog\u00eda de Misiones (InBioMis-UNaM)<\/strong> para identificar variantes gen\u00e9ticas que podr\u00edan influir en la acumulaci\u00f3n de grasa en el h\u00edgado.<\/p>\n<p>Dos avances que marcan un paso gigante para la investigaci\u00f3n y el desarrollo cient\u00edfico en Santo Tom\u00e9, y que acercan a la Fundaci\u00f3n Barcel\u00f3 a nuevas fronteras en el diagn\u00f3stico y tratamiento de enfermedades hep\u00e1ticas.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SANTO TOME.
