El ex concejal y funcionario municipal, Eduardo Buero; formul\u00f3 declaraciones recientemente dando a conocer su postura en favor de la posible llegada a Santo Tom\u00e9 del Mega Polo La Salada, iniciativa esta que lo impulsa el empresario bonaerense Jorge Castillo. La iniciativa comenz\u00f3 all\u00e1 por el a\u00f1o 2017 cuando adquiri\u00f3 un predio de 110 hect\u00e1reas en la zona del Paraje Camba\u00ed por Ruta Nacional 14, distante a unos 10 km del radio c\u00e9ntrico de esta ciudad en direcci\u00f3n hacia la localidad de Alvear. Luego por diversos motivos, el proyecto se paraliz\u00f3 y ahora vuelve a cobrar vigencia. No obstante, hay quienes est\u00e1n de acuerdo y quienes no con la posibilidad que se instale en esta zona. Desde la Federaci\u00f3n Econ\u00f3mica de la Provincia de Corrientes, ya pusieron ciertos reparos a que ello se concrete. Los argumentos son los mismos de siempre.
