El evento musical masivo, que hist\u00f3ricamente reun\u00eda a la comunidad cada 26 de agosto a la noche para esperar el cumplea\u00f1os de la ciudad, fue suspendido debido a la compleja situaci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica actual, seg\u00fan se desprende de las declaraciones del funcionario que lo hizo en el programa radial <strong>\u00abAgenda Abierta\u00bb.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Para suplir esta hist\u00f3rica celebraci\u00f3n, la comuna trasladar\u00e1 las actividades al 26 de agosto con la elecci\u00f3n de <strong>\u00abMis Santo Tom\u00e9\u00bb.<\/strong> El concurso de belleza y representaci\u00f3n cultural se desarrollar\u00e1 en las instalaciones del casino local. Las inscripciones para las postulantes cierran el pr\u00f3ximo 12 de agosto y ya cuenta con varias anotadas.<\/p>\n<p>El certamen contar\u00e1 con un show musical y tres pasadas de las candidatas sobre la pasarela. Para evitar especulaciones, la identidad del jurado se mantendr\u00e1 en secreto hasta el d\u00eda del evento. La ganadora recibir\u00e1 parte de un pozo de $1.800.000 en premios, un viaje a Cambori\u00fa (Brasil) y la responsabilidad de representar a la localidad en eventos culturales, debutando al d\u00eda siguiente en el desfile del acto central.<\/p>\n<p>A pesar de las cancelaciones por el ajuste presupuestario, el funcionario comunal garantiz\u00f3 que la agenda infantil sigue en pie.
