Acon Timber analiza la segunda etapa de expansi\u00f3n de su planta de Gobernador Virasoro, luego de una inversi\u00f3n inicial cercana a los US$130 millones. Nicol\u00e1s Crisp, presidente de la compa\u00f1\u00eda en Argentina, explic\u00f3 que la continuidad del proyecto estar\u00e1 vinculada a una mejora de las condiciones de competitividad. \u201cTodo eso va a depender de si hay un entorno m\u00e1s competitivo y sostenible. Son cambios estructurales y est\u00e1n siendo m\u00e1s dif\u00edciles de lo que pens\u00e1bamos\u201d, se\u00f1al\u00f3 el ejecutivo al medio <strong>Valor Agro Argentina.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Entre las principales dificultades, el ejecutivo mencion\u00f3 los costos log\u00edsticos para trasladar la producci\u00f3n desde Corrientes hasta los puertos de exportaci\u00f3n. \u201cEl costo de llegar hasta el puerto es incre\u00edble, sobre todo cuando te comparas con competidores como Brasil o Uruguay. Eso nos hace perder mucha competitividad y muchas veces perdemos mercados\u201d, explic\u00f3 Crisp.<\/p>\n<p>La segunda fase permitir\u00eda ampliar el procesamiento desde los actuales 700.000 metros c\u00fabicos anuales hasta una capacidad cercana a 1,3 millones. Crisp indic\u00f3 que existen iniciativas para atender los inconvenientes identificados, aunque plante\u00f3 la importancia de los tiempos: \u201cLa problem\u00e1tica se entiende y se est\u00e1 trabajando, pero est\u00e1 llevando m\u00e1s tiempo. A m\u00ed lo que me preocupa es que la industria y las empresas no tienen ese tiempo.
