SANTO TOME. Esta iniciativa del Gobierno provincial permite el traslado de profesionales a distintas localidades del interior para realizar operaciones programadas. En esta oportunidad, se llevaron a cabo 15 intervenciones.<\/em><\/p>\n

El Ministerio de Salud P\u00fablica\u00a0llev\u00f3 a cabo 15 intervenciones quir\u00fargicas programadas en el hospital San Juan Bautista de Santo Tom\u00e9, a trav\u00e9s del Programa M\u00e9dicos Itinerantes, mediante el cual la cartera sanitaria pone a disposici\u00f3n profesionales y equipos para llevar a cabo intervenciones de distintas patolog\u00edas. Esta iniciativa est\u00e1 destinada puntualmente a las personas de bajos recursos y que no tienen cobertura social.<\/p>\n

\u201cLa iniciativa se enmarca en las directivas dadas por el se\u00f1or gobernador Gustavo Vald\u00e9s y el ministro de Salud P\u00fablica Ricardo Cardozo e implementada por la Subsecretar\u00eda de Salud, en pos de cuidar la salud visual de los correntinos\u201d, dijo el subsecretario de Salud,\u00a0Luis P\u00e9rez, y detall\u00f3: \u201cEn Santo Tom\u00e9, realizamos 15 cirug\u00edas oculares programadas a personas con Cataratas\u201d,<\/p>\n

El funcionario record\u00f3 que M\u00e9dicos Itinerantes es un programa que se implementa desde 2017 para \u201cpacientes sin cobertura social\u201d y remarc\u00f3 que hasta la fecha \u201cse llevan realizadas alrededor de 400 cirug\u00edas de distintas especialidades como las de ves\u00edcula biliar, de hernias y ahora las oculares\u201d.<\/p>\n

Espec\u00edficamente, estas intervenciones se realizan con la implementaci\u00f3n de lentes intraoculares y la t\u00e9cnica Facoemulsificaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

\u201cMediante un trabajo articulado con las localidades que componen la denominada Costa del r\u00edo Uruguay, a trav\u00e9s de los distintos centros de salud de las regiones sanitarias 4 y 5, los m\u00e9dicos itinerantes especialistas en oftalmolog\u00eda seleccionaron y prepararon a los pacientes a fin de someterlos a las intervenciones quir\u00fargicas de Cataratas\u201d, explic\u00f3 P\u00e9rez y agreg\u00f3: \u201cPreviamente se llevaron a cabo los estudios correspondientes y tratamientos previos, para llegar al d\u00eda de la cirug\u00eda donde se les implantaron lentes intraocular y se le realizaron sus posteriores\u00a0 controles posquir\u00fargicos, de manera que puedan recuperar la salud visual y volver a rendir mejor en sus diferentes actividades cotidianas, sin la necesidad de tener que desplazarse hasta otros centros de salud m\u00e1s alejados de su habitad donde sus familias pueden ayudar en el cuidado para la pronta recuperaci\u00f3n de estos pacientes\u201d.<\/p>\n

Las intervenciones quir\u00fargicas estuvieron a cargo del doctor Carlos Calomarde, m\u00e9dico oftalm\u00f3logo especializado; mientras que los costos corrieron a cargo del Gobierno provincial.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
