A los 65 a\u00f1os de edad, en horas de la ma\u00f1ana de este domingo, aproximadamente a las 09 hs, se conoci\u00f3 la triste noticia del fallecimiento de \u201cBicho\u201d Centuri\u00f3n, un comparsero de alma e hist\u00f3rico integrante de la escuela de samba de comparsa Marab\u00fa por m\u00e1s de treinta a\u00f1os, a la cual dirigi\u00f3 por casi dos d\u00e9cadas y obtuvo el primer lugar en ese rubro en reiteradas oportunidades. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>Luego de luchar contra una enfermedad terminal, la vida de \u201cBicho\u201d Centuri\u00f3n se apag\u00f3 este domingo. Fuentes confiables indicaron que hab\u00eda sido internado el d\u00eda viernes por la ma\u00f1ana en estado delicado y 48 horas despu\u00e9s, dej\u00f3 de existir. <\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>Era una figura muy conocida en el ambiente del carnaval santotome\u00f1o, dirigi\u00f3 a la escuela de samba de su querida Comparsa Marab\u00fa por muchos a\u00f1os, donde logr\u00f3 obtener el t\u00edtulo de campeona en reiteradas oportunidades.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fue el creador de un estilo inconfundible en cuanto a su forma muy particular de dirigir y los ritmos y variaciones que supo crear a partir del a\u00f1o 1977 cuando por primera vez comand\u00f3 a la escuela de samba. Con el correr de los a\u00f1os, incorpor\u00f3 algunas innovaciones a su forma de dirigir a la escuela de samba, las cuales eran un verdadero espect\u00e1culo cuando el corso se realizaba por Av. San Mart\u00edn y su tradicional rival era Turma do Fon Fon. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Supo inculcarles a sus dirigidos algunas acciones para parar de tocar la escuela de samba, como ser sentarse a una silla, fumar un cigarrillo y largar el humo y que en determinado momento se dejara de tocar, entre otras formas de dirigir.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b>Pero como los a\u00f1os pasan, \u201cBicho\u201d supo entender cu\u00e1l era el momento de ir iniciando la retirada para dar paso a nuevos integrantes en la conducci\u00f3n de la bater\u00eda. As\u00ed llegaron Ra\u00fal Mart\u00ednez, Sergio Vargas y Facundo Cruz que bajo la atenta mirada de Vera Centuri\u00f3n, fueron tomando el bast\u00f3n de mariscal para seguir el camino trazado por el \u201cmaestro\u201d. <\/b><\/p>\n<p>ESSACOMA Y UN GESTO PARA DESTACAR<\/p>\n<p><b>All\u00e1 por el a\u00f1o 2015, renaci\u00f3 la idea en muchos comparseros de la denominada \u00abvieja guardia\u00bb que extra\u00f1aban el viejo estilo de las escuelas de sambas antes que llegue el samba enredo. As\u00ed naci\u00f3 la agrupaci\u00f3n ESSACOMA, a la cual \u00abBicho\u00bb lo dirigi\u00f3 hasta la \u00faltima edici\u00f3n del carnaval santotome\u00f1o que fue en 2019. Como dato a destacar y tal vez previendo que la partida estaba a ra\u00edz de la enfermedad que lo aquejaba, junto a sus seguidores y ex integrantes, decidieron poner punto final a la existencia de ESSACOMA y por consiguiente se decidi\u00f3 donar todos los instrumentos que ten\u00edan a Comparsa Marab\u00fa.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><b>Precisamente este a\u00f1o, Marab\u00fa en su presentaci\u00f3n en el carnaval 2023, le va a realizar un homenaje a varias figuras que son consideradas ejemplos de trayectoria dentro de la comparsa, como son Marito Merlo, Mariza Zacariaz, Esther Copini y tambi\u00e9n ahora post mortem a V\u00edctor Vera \u201cBicho\u201d Centuri\u00f3n. Se fue terrenalmente un grande del carnaval santotome\u00f1o, un innovador.
